Cookie Sophie Macaron Box

Morning Friends!

Happy Friday to you all!
Today I wanted to share my project I created for Sweet Nothings Stamp Co. It's a macaron box.  I didn't have any macarons on hand so I opted for an equally delicious alternative, cookies. Seems fitting enough right?
I used Cookie Sophie and coloured her up with my copic markers. She's cut out and popped up on dimensionals to give her height. I used many different paper collections and die cuts I thought worked together well and gave me the colour scheme I was looking for. Some is Crate Paper, MME, Dear Lizzy American Crafts and a cute little cameo die cut. The alpha's I used are October Afternoon stickers in the most perect pink sorbet colour.

I hope you all enjoyed what I had to share with you today and you'll check back here soon to see what's new :)
Have a great weekend!!

SNSC 1 Year Celebration Blog Hop

Hello Hoppers!
Welcome to Sweet Nothings Stamp Co.’s  1 Year Anniversary Celebration Blog Hop! We’re so excited you’re here!
This year quickly flew by and we can’t believe we already have a year’s experience under our belt! Boy, does time fly when you’re having fun! We hope our next years are as fun and this past year has been.

This is the project that I've created for the blog hop. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it!

My card for the hop is a little different... I challenged myself to use embellishments and papers I already had out. Things I hadn't had a chance to put away yet and were waiting ever so patiently to be used again. It's a mish mash of different paper companies including Prima and MME. The cardstock and card base is just some Bazzil cardstock.

The digi image I used is Balloon Sophie. I thought it was fitting considering we're celebrating SNSC's first year birthday! I coloured her up using my Copic markers and gave Sophie some pink pearl earrings. The special touch she needed ;)
The rest of the embellishments are some chipboard pieces, diecuts and a doily. I think it all works together well considering the lines are all different. it's sort of a shabby chic-ish mash up! LOL!

So, without further adieu, here is the list of designers contributing to our fun little blog hop; This is the line up...
If you get lost or just stumbled upon this post, please start from the beginning of the line-up.

To celebrate, we’ve got some fun in store for all of you... Be sure to hop along to ALL of our DT and GDT member’s blogs and be sure to leave a comment on every blog in order to qualify for a prize. Hoppers will have until midnight of the 22nd to comment. Winners will be chosen at random and announced on the 23rd on the SNSC blog.
All prizes were graciously donated by our fabulous sponsors. Be sure to show them some love as well and stop by their shops :)

Valentine's Day Tag

Happy, happy day to you all!

Today's project is a Valentine's Day tag I created using one of the newest releases from Sweet Nothings Stamp Co. I used Cupcake Sophie and I just LOVE her! Everything from how she's sitting on the cupcake, the heart cherry and her ringlets. She's just too cute for words. She is coloured up using my Copic markers.

The tag I used is just a simple, white shipping tag which I covered with paper. The paper collection I used is the new Love Letters from Bo Bunny. It's such a pretty paper stack. I did quite a bit of "popping up" on the tag. I just really wanted dimension without the bulkiness. In the background, you'll notice a doily I adhered and cut down to size. The trim I used, I believe, is from Making Memories and just fit perfectly with the colour scheme of the papers I chose.

Hope you like it! Have a wonderful week!

Every other month will be something new and creative for you to challenge yourself with. There will be a sweet little prize to be won as well.
For the month of November, we will be challenging you to create a project with this beautiful neutral palette. This super cute color palette is great for any type of card and you can use any sentiment you'd like. The possibilities are endless and it's up to you! Here is the inspiration for this month:

Here is what I have created to inspire you to challenge your creative side and play along with us in this contest:

I decided this challenge that I wanted to do something a little different. I decided that I wanted to alter a kraft cookie and treat box instead of the regular cards I've been creating lately. I used my Copics in warm greys to colour Sophie in our challenge colours. Love how she turned out! I then used paper from the new MME paper collection, All is Bright, IAR mulberry flowers and leaves, and some glittery embellishments and voila`!
An adorably (christmas-y) treat box to fill with yummy treats and give to a neighbour!

Contest Rules:
  • Contest runs from Tuesday November 13th-Tuesday November 27th (12 pm EST)
  • Challenge: To use the color palette provided above. You may tweek it as you wish and add any other elements you'd like. Be as creative as you wish :D

Hocus Pocus Sophie Tag

Hello Crafters!
Today I want to share with you all a Hallowe'en tag I created using the adorable (and scary ;)) Hocus Pocus Sophie. I know I say this all the time about the images from SNSC, and maybe I have a bit of a biased opinion, but she's adorable! She totally embodies everything Hallowe'en to me!

I used a couple different paper collections to create this tag. I used the latest from both MME and Echo Park. Sophie is coloured up using my Copic markers.
I also used some IAR that I dyed black to go with the theme better.

The little vial you see in the bottom right cluster, started out empty; I filled it with tiny glass marbles and then created the "Drink at own risk" label using my computer. I attached some other do-dads and embellishments to finish it all off.

I hope you have enjoyed my Hallowe'en tag! Have a wonderful day!

Easel Card: Say Cheese Sophie

Hey Everyone!
Today, I want to share a super cute easel card I created with my new favourite digi image from Sweet Nothings Stamp Co, Say Cheese Sophie! She's too cute for words and I am just in love with her! I could use her on every project! LOL! The card measures 5.5 x 5.5 inches.

I used a couple paper collections for this card. I used the AC Neapolitan, This & That Collection and The EP Everyday Eclectic. I just gathered all of my absolute favourite camera/Polaroid things. I also used some TH Film Strip. It went so well with the theme itself, I just couldn't resist :P

Sophie is coloured up with my Copics as usual. I just love the crisp colour they add. I gave her some pearl earrings and fussy cut her out. I left a bit of an edge around her so that when I placed her on the card stock she would stand out a bit. Of course she's popped up to add visual dimension.

I finished the card off with some pretty, white mulberry flowers from IAR and some punched MS butterflies. It kinda looks like Sophie is snapping pictures of the butterflies. It's too cute!

I hope you enjoyed my project as much as I enjoyed creating it. Have a wonderful day!!!

Last Ode to Summer :(

Good Morning Bloggers!
I think it's safe to say that Summer is finally (and regrettably) over! I'm not going to lie, but I am kinda glad... Autumn is my favourite time of the year. I love the changing leaves, the cooler weather, the smell and scent of fall... basically everything!

But, to say farewell to summer, I decided to create one last and final card using Ice Cream Cone Sophie. She is too cute and one of my favourite digis for sure. I had to fit her in somehow. You can find here here in the
shop from Sweet Nothings Stamp Co.
I used the Neapolitan paper collection from AC, a perfect fit. The ice cream cones in the collection match Sophie's sweet treat to a T! It was a no brainer :)

I did a lot of layering using various bits and pieces. I used some twine and some rosette trim as I thought the colours fit well with the overall colour scheme of the card.

It's hard to tell in the photo, but I added some Stickles to her ice cream and the larger ice cream on the left. I wanted to give it all a little something something :)

I hope you all enjoyed this last tiny piece of summer! I know I sure needed it! LOL!

SNSC September 2012 Creative Challenge

Good Morning Fellow Crafters! I am so excited for you to be joining Sweet Nothings Stamp Co.  and it’s very talented Design Team for our September Creative Challenge.

From now on, the 2nd Tuesday of every other month we will run a Creative Challenge.  Some months the challenge may be a color palette to work with, other months it may be a theme or a layout. Every other month will be something new and creative for you to challenge yourself with. There will be a sweet little prize to be won as well.

For the month of September, we will be challenging you to create a project with this beautiful Autumn colour palette.  This super cute color palette is great for any type of card and you can use any sentiment you'd like. Here is the inspiration for this month:

For my challenge project, this is what I have created:

For my card I wanted to use Love Letter Sophie. I've been itching to use her for a while and just never got the chance to. I coloured her up with my Copic markers and added some glitter to her bow and t-shirt with my clear Spica pen. It just added a slight shimmer to make her pop!

For the mail box, I coloured it up as I usually would have but when I was done, I took my Colourless Blender and added some texture by just blotting it where I wanted the colour to shift. I think it looks pretty cool and kinda turned the mailbox vintagy.

I hope you all enjoy my project for this month's colour challenge and hope you'll play along. One lucky winner will win a great prize!
Below you'll find all the info you need....

Shopping Bag Sophie Card

Hey Guys!
I hope everyone's having a great day so far!
Today I wanted to share a card I created with Shopping Bag Sophie. She's a new release for the month of July from Sweet Nothings Stamp Co. and is a super fun image!

I started by colouring her up with my Copics. I paper pieced some of her outfit and coloured the rest. The paper collection I used for the card was Nantucket from Pink Paisley. Super cute paper collection with bright, beachy colours.

I decided I wanted this card to be a little different from my more "clean" lined cards. I did a lot of layering on this card which is not something I am used to. But, I think I got the hang of it. I like how this card turned out!

It's kinda hard to tell, but if you look closely enough, you'll see tissue paper in the actual shopping bags. I added this cute element to mimic the tissue you get in some upscale shops :)
This is the inside of the card and this simple sentiment fit the bill (excuse the pun) just perfectly!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! have a wonderful rest of your day! Cheers!

Happiness is a Puppy

Hey Scrappy Friends!

Today I wanted to share a card I created with Rainy Day Sophie from Sweet Nothings Stamp Co. She and her puppy are just adorable and I just couldn't resist colouring them both up. Using my Copics, I coloured the image and then fussy cut around it.

The paper collection I used was the DCWV Latte Stack; just loved all the purples in that collection.

Some of the embellishments came from the Teresa Collins Fabrications and the adorable sentiment came from Cloud 9 Design- Simple Thoughts- Dog. I felt the sentiment went perfectly with Rainy Day Sophie and her pooch!

Thanks so much for stopping by! You can find this adorable image and many

just as adorable others in the shop: http://sweetnothingsstampco.com/shop.html

Altered Treat Box

Happy Friday!
Today, I wanted to share a project I created for Sweet Nothings Stamp Co. It's an altered treat box/purse. When I first saw this plain, black box, I knew it would be fun to alter and Balloon Sophie was just the right image to use. The paper collection I used is the Bazzil WayFarer collection. I fell in love with this paper once I got it in my hands. It's definitely a fun paper stack.

Here's what I created :
Like I mentioned, I used Balloon Sophie, and coloured her skin and hair using my Copics and paper pieced her dress, bow and balloons. I <3 the way she turned out! She's uber adorable!

I covered the box in various papers, added a cute pennant, twine, and some MS butterflies. I also created some paper rosettes using the same paper.

Finally, I created a flower cluster in the bottom right corner using some IAR and WOC mulberry flowers. In the background, I placed some MS Frond leaves.

I hope you enjoyed what I created this month. It was fun and I liked creating something different than the cards I have been making lately.
Thanks for stopping by!
