12x12 Layout: Waiting Patiently for You

Good Morning!

Today, I would like to share with you a recent layout I created for when hubby and I were patiently waiting for baby girl to come into this world. This layout will make it's way into my maternity album. I think I may have about 2 or 3 more pictures to scrap before I can call it done.

So, here's what I did...
The background paper I used is from October Afternoon from a few years back. It was their Halloween line and the name is totally escaping me at the moment and I have thrown out the branding strip. So sorry!
The lovely yellow chevron paper that is layered amongst the other papers is from Crate Paper. It's from the Open Book collection from Maggie Holmes. I'm totally in LOVE with this whole collection and am sad that it's sold out almost everywhere :(
The pink polkadot and the aqua paper are both from my stash.

I used chipboard elements to embellish from My Mind's Eye, Kate & Co, Cambridge Court. Love all the pretty shades in this collection as well.

The die cuts I used are also from CP, Open Book Collection. I also used a bit of black and white washi tape from my stash. I like how it just pops and ties in the dark shades of the picture with the papers.

It's hard to tell, but I used Pumice Stone Distress Ink around the edges. It's very subtle as I used it sparingly just for some contrast between the layers.
I finished off the design of the layout with some Colour Shine splatter in Gold in the top right and bottom of the page. LOVE!

Lastly, the title is made up of alphas from SN@P, Simple Stories. They are just simple alphas that come in a multitude of colours in one pack. I used the grey for both.

And, that's it! Thanks for stopping by today :)
